WEG receives Whirlpool “Supplier of the Year” Award
WEG just received the “SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR” Award in the categories “Raw Material” and “MPGH / C&G – Motors, Pumps, Glasses, Heats, Cooling & Gas” from Whirlpool Brasil, one of the largest manufacturers of kitchen and laundry appliances in the country. WEG was highlighted among the main suppliers of Whirpool in industrial paints and electric motors for home appliances.
This Award is a recognition of WEG’s commitment to adding value to Whirlpool products and customers, specially in terms of innovation, quality, customer service and sustainability.

WEG receives CS A Qualification for Certification Program
Within its Certification Program, CSA has granted WEG the certificate for Qualification of Test Laboratories, which qualifies the company to perform its own electric motor tests, including tests for explosive atmospheres, aiming at safety and energy efficiency, in line with the standards applicable in several markets. WEG has had this accreditation for over 25 years, which proves a long-standing partnership.
The CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Group is a global organization dedicated to safety, social assistance and sustainability. It is a leader in standards development and testing, inspection and certification worldwide, including Asia, Europe, Canada and the US, where the company also has accreditation from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), allowing certification of equipment for the North American market.
As a result, there is a benefit on the certification process for the Canadian and US markets, which are widely served by WEG through its subsidiaries and distributors since the certification allows WEG to supply electric motors tested in Brazil, where WEG is headquartered, mainly to customers from the USA territory, with certification time savings and shorter delivery times.
